PROJECTS

IT projects and special event production are my areas of expertise. IT project management covers small in-house projects to large state and nationwide projects with several contractors participating. As manager of IT for a major university, I built student/faculty/admin LANs and laboratories with standardized applications. Other IT projects include managing the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) of tasks for a worldwide weather system upgrade to an Oracle RDBMS, customizing a COTS product for a state-wide child tracking system and managing the encryption of 4,300 laptops in five months.

 

Since 2000, I've been the local contact for the largest concert producers bringing shows to Oklahoma. These multi-million dollar events are usually one-day productions at the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City and the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Note that my team has helped produce concerts at the University of Oklahoma Gaylord Family -Memorial Stadiu and was part of the production for the Oklahoma Centennial Spectacular celebrating Oklahoma's statehood with its many stars and most famous luminaries.

Information Technology Projects:

  • Oracle - FAA Enterprise Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence - Risk Manager

  • Oracle - FAA GRC implementation - PM

  • “Child’s Passport” for Oklahoma Dept. of Human Resources - Bridge Resource Families to access medical and educational information on the children in their custody.

  • Implemented a new statewide system of licensing child care centers, homes and workers. The system provides data to four units who pay over $2M per month in Medicaid.

  • PM on critical project to encrypt 4,300 tablet/laptop PCs in response to a security breach. Product implemented was McAfee’s ePO server with Endpoint Protection.

  • Contract PM to complete the conversion of a 40,000+ page statewide FrontPage web presence to Microsoft CMS and ensure Federal ADA Section 508 Web Usability and Compliance.

  • Working with Harris senior management, won a $100M/10 year USPS contract managing 170 staff to provide technical support for 880 mail sorting facilities. Wrote the Management Plan detailing all contract roles and responsibilities, with metrics for measuring performance, and the management strategy for increasing performance. Created a Quality Assurance Plan with ISO 9001 defined processes.
